Hey there race fans.  Laidback Racing went to the second race of their Chasin’ Racin’ Tour 2005, The Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Bubbate & Bubba's Bravos to:

...racemama for finding buy one get one free fireworks for Steve.

...Cindy for having a Wal-Mart Credit Card (I told ya’ll they were Wal-Mart shopping fools!)

...a bus stop at the front door of Wal-Mart.

...Rocky the security guard for getting Cindy the flattest and most level spot in all of Bristol! 

...Jamie Kramer and Rob Roby for hanging out with us Friday and entertaining us with stories! (you gotta come back to read about Rob’s fan fables from the MIS infield)

...a free golf cart ride and a free pole day ticket for Doug.

...an all you can eat surf and turf buffet cooked by Cindy that included bacon wrapped scallops, fried shrimp roasted oysters and ribeyes!

...Rob, for putting the gril together and not letting it kick his ass.

...Cindy for that great "Quadruple Chocolate Brownie Thunder" 

...the Robbins-Jones band that played in the rain at the Red Barn Campground.

...a dragster starting up at Thunder Valley...now that's Thunder!

...a big ole shopping cart taking a lap at Bristol.

...seeing Texas Terry in the familiar Kellogg's paint scheme...
(sure did make Jimmy happy 'cause he got to wear his Terry gear!)

...the green flag dropping on fender bangin', wheel rubbin', bumper bashin', paint tradin', sparks flyin', door to door, good ole fashioned racin' the way it oughta' be!  

...seeing that #44 Kellogg's Chevy leading the race.

...seeing many drivers getting their laps back the right way...racin' for them.

...Childress on top of the pit box again.

...a driver breaking a 55 race losing streak.

...Sterling, Dale and Kyle with a top 11 finish.

...a driver who starts shotgun at Bristol and wins the race...now that's driving! 
And 2 days in a row!

...a four sided Wide Screen TV...Hey Bruton...all your tracks need this.

...Mark Martin, Dale Jarrett and Rusty Wallace in the top 11 in points.

Bubbate & Bubba's Boos to:

...the steep hill at Bubba Dave’s that caused us to run over one of his new Bradford Pear trees!  (Hey I wasn’t gonna Boo us for that!)

...lots of rain mixed with cold…I felt like we were at the Rock (RIP)

...NASCAR for waiting so long to call Saturday's race...there wasn't a clear patch anywhere on the radar until Saturday night.

...no Saturday Busch race.

...the racin' gods frowning on Rusty at Bristol.

...to a crew chief not being in Victory Lane with his team.

...racemama for losing her notes from the track on Sunday (man I've been hanging out with Frankie too long)

This week some things deserved a bravo and a boo:

...BOO to getting the Airstream stuck in the mud 3 times at the Red Barn Campground but
BRAVO to Dave Hite for loaning us his truck to pull them out. 
(Dave, you are such a good Pop Odom)

...BOO to having a generator so loud that the guy next door asks you to turn it off but
BRAVO to King (from Lady and King) for plugging Cindy and Steve into electricity for free!

BOO to Lightening taking out the scoring tower but
BRAVO to the TV being fixed.

...BOO to a 14-car melee but
BRAVO to Bulldog for accepting responsibility like a man.

BOO to overly aggressive driving by Shane Hmiel in the Busch race but
BRAVO to DJ for walking over and "talking" to him

...20 visits to Wal-Mart between Cindy and Steve's and Dave Hite's House!
