Hey there race fans.  Laidback Racing went to the sixth race of their Chasin’ Racin’ Tour 2005, The Sharpie 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway.

Bubbate & Bubba's Bravos to:

....me and my sister for surprising her husband Steve in the Great Birthday Scam

...seeing the Trucks, Busch and Cup cars all race around Bristol.

...meeting Clint AKA Speedway Dog and his wife Felicia....also Bravo to them for being our satellite camping spot.

...Track Laps for Kids for letting Jimmy drive the Little Brown Truck around Bristol Motor Speedway.  (special thanks to Stephanie and the Sheriff's Department)

...all the fans cheering when the LBT came out of the pits

...the police car that pulled up with the blue lights and sirens on like he was pulling the LBT over

...seeing George the Painter painting the wall, yelling to him and getting a wave of the brush.

...the winners of Aaron's best seat in the house contest.  Couple 1   Couple 2

...playing "Guess who are new fans and who are long time fans" by how they were dressed.

....being on the Bristol Channel 11 news.  Here's Jimmy with Ellisa Burrell and Tim Davis

...fried oreos

...Kathy and John McCabe for flying all the way from California and hanging out with us

...Larry Byrd, Willy Ray, Jim Spears and Jerry Jones who have sat in the same spot for the last 8 years waiting the characters walking by.

...Dawn and Ted from Indy who moved over so I could ride the shuttle...Ted really just wanted to sit in between 2 beautiful redheads!

...the great salute to Rusty before the race....
A double bravo to ALL the fans for showing him the appreciation and respect he deserves

...a great patriotic pre-race

...drivers kids singing the Star Spangled Banner

...Jimmy and Jo Ann for making it a no pit stop race on Saturday! 

...seeing Ricky Rudd and Kenny Schrader run in the top 10 almost all night

...Rusty for leading his last Bristol race

....Ricky Rudd for a top 5 finish

...the end of a 56 race losing streak.  (Victory Lane)

Bubbate & Bubba's Boos to:

...Little Frankie being left home again!

...no coffee being brewed at the race Friday even though the wide screen TV  had on it
"JFG and BMS, always something brewing.  Bristol welcomes JFG coffee into the BMS family"
(they must be the red headed step children of the family)  

....Crown Royal costing $6.00 Wednesday night and then $8.00 Friday

...Kevin and Frankie not for getting lost but for not using the GPS that was in the back seat

...Red Barn Campground for not having enough port o potties and not cleaning the ones they had.

This week some things deserved a bravo and a boo:

BOO to us leaving the stuff out of the LBT next to the track for hours BUT
BRAVO to it still being there when we got back!

BOO to rain on Friday night BUT
BRAVO to sitting in Earnhardt Tower under the cover nice and dry

BOO to Jimmy Elledge's daughter getting scared BUT
BRAVO to her daddy being there to comfort her.

BOO to Carl Edwards getting into both Petty cars BUT
Bravo to Kyle for going to chat pleasantly about it.

BOO to not being in Darlington SC on Labor Day weekend BUT
BRAVO to having the Bristol night race to take the sadness away
