PrIcies have skyrocketed to do the infield in Daytona. THIS IS THE LAST YEAR FOR UNRESERVED CAMPING IN TURNS 1&2: General Admission SVP is located inside Turns 1 & 2 in the West Horseshoe of the road course. Beginning in 2008, this area will be reserved. Please stop by the ticket office during your visit to be added to our mailing list to receive information on how to reserve your spot for 2008. Access to the General Admission SVP area begins at 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 14, 2007 through the Turn 1 Tunnel and spots are available on a first come basis. Staging on Speedway property is not available. Prices vary by day.
All Other infield area prices are listed in the Fan Guide: Starting at $710.00 - $2,750 for the RV spot and addmissions is from $245- $310 per person. Fan Guide is a PDF file: www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com
NEW IN 2007: Speedweeks: No overnight general admission car/truck parking in the infield. General admission cars/trucks may enter the infield Sunday morning based on availability. Time of entry to be determined. We recommend purchasing reserved Orange parking in advance to guarantee a spot.
Pepsi 400: As with 2006, overnight general admission car parking will again be located in the Center of the infield behind the reserved Lake Lloyd and Red SVP areas beginning Thursday, July 5, 2007.
Limited availability in the West horseshoe beginning 6:00 am Friday, July 6, 2007. All parking in
the Orange area in Turns 3 & 4 is reserved.

FROM JIM D., WEST PALM BEACH: did find a good lot at the Open MRI Center on Bill France Blvd to park, which allowed us quick access out to I-95 after the race.... back home in West Palm Beach by 1:00am.

LAIDBACK RACING NOTE: When we went to the Keys on vacation we did a little Recon after getting this email from Jim.
As many of you know I am not big on parking on Speedway property. It is just too much of a cluster f#%&. We did some Recon on parking and here is what we found.
Across the street from the front stretch of the Speedway are streets that run off International Speedway Blvd. What is good about these roads is you can leave after the race by heading towards LPGA Blvd instead of getting caught up in International Speedway Blvd. traffic (get a map, it is an easy route). The streets are Williamson, Fentress, and Bill France Blvd. All of these roads have business on them that were closed when we went there on Sunday. There weren't gates on many of them. I think you can park there. Now there maybe some one there charging you a small fee but these streets are right across form the front stretch.
Bill France Blvd. is closer to turn 4. On that road we saw the Open MRI building, the corner parking lot of the Volushia Mall, Space Coast credit Union, Studio Plus Delux, Sun Trust bank, Speedway Business Center and a Suburban Dodge. On the corner of Bill France Blvd and International Speedway Blvd was a shopping center, Centre Marsh Volushia Pointe.
Fentress is in the middle. On Fentiss we found Culligan Water, Enterprise Park, Eltec, Perkins Elmer, Cosmopro Group and Precision Engineering. There were more than this but these are the ones who's signs I caught. The only place I saw "No Parking on Side of Road" signs were on Fentress from Bayliss to International Speedway Blvd.
Another street Bayliss, intersects Fentress and is very close also. On Bayliss we found a Business park that had parking. Also on the corner of Fentress and Bayliss was a Coke A Cola Plant. The part of Bayliss that is closest to Speedway Blvd is right behind Hooters.
Williamson is closer to turn 1. Target Store at International Speedway Blvd. and Williamson has paid parking for around $30.00 and money goes to the United Way.
FROM RACEMAMA: It is about time Target got community minded
The Target is on the corner and actually it looked like you could park on the side of the road on this street.
All along International Speedway Blvd are business like; Toys R us, Pier 1, Barnes and Noble, Sports Authority, Best Buy, K-Mart, Home Depot, Rooms To Go, Hagan Terrace and International Speedway Square. I am sure many of these business do what Target does and charges for parking since they know they aren't going to have many sales from the locals during race day. Look up the phone number, call and ask.
INDEPENDENT VENDORS:
We always go across the street from the track to K-Mart and Cathy's Collectables. Great prices and great selection. In 1998, I found a can of Davey Allison Bunker Hill Chili for $5.00 at Cathy's. She is located in the strip shopping center between K-mart and the track.
UPDATE 2/12: Cathy had an ad in NASCAR SCENE and has her address as 1476 West International Speedway Blvd. behind Wendy's and next to Outback Steaks.
GREEN FLAG FROM JIM D., WEST PALM BEACH We made it over to the Racing Collectables area in the Kmart shopping center recommended in your race Recon section, doesn't appear to be called Cathy's Collectables any longer though..... just Racing Collectables. I found a Chase Authentics Dale Jarrett #88 "2000 Daytona 500 Winner T-Shirt" for 5 bucks, lot of other good merchandise available as well.
WATSON PROMOTIONS - looks like it a few different vendors located together. Saw it advertised in NASCAR SCENE as a memorabilia show. They are in the K-Mart Plaza behind McDonald's 276-236-3550

UPDATE FROM BANDIT MOTORSPORTS: At the Flea Market on the corner of International Speedway Blvd.and Tomoka Farms road are many Vendors in an area called Speedway Village. It is open from Friday before the Shoot Out until the Monday after the 500. Hours I believe are 8 am to 5 pm. SPEEDWAY VILLAGE will be to the rear of the property.

FROM DAYTONA TINA: There is a place inside the mall for racing stuff, also on the beach a lot of the regular souvenir stores sell nascar. There’s a great restaurant on the corner of Main St and A1A that’s called The Cruisin’ and apparently the guy will sell stuff “off the walls” if ya want- ya gotta make an offer tho’….Penney's usually carries last yrs 500 shirts for 8.00 I believe

This is a family oriented place and partially sits on the water. Its inexpensive and a blast. The first time I went was during Daytona racing and ran into Dave Blaney, Jeff Green, Sterling Marlin and everyone that was drinking Coors Light received a T-shirt and Sterling autographed the shirts. Now, that was a real treat for sure.
