760 AM-WJR-Detroit for traffic updates
Michigan International Speedway is located on U.S. Highway 12 in Brooklyn, Michigan, one mile west of M-50.
Directions: From Detroit Metro Airport: Take I-94 West to Highway 12 West (Exit 181A). Track is located one mile west of U.S.12 and M-50. Local knowledge says take the Grass Lake exit off Interstate 94, (Exit 150) and take Wolf Lake Road into the circuit... there's a gas station on the Grass Lake Exit, make sure you top off before hitting weekend traffic, which can drop to less than a crawl for 20 miles around the race track on big race days. grandprixcities.com

06/24/07 BLACK FLAG FROM JIM B: The distance from MIS to the highway is 33 miles, on monday, it took us from 11am until 2ish, that is correct 3 hours to go 33miles. A bag of ice went from $5 to $8 in 1 year, a 15X25 camp site, owned by MIS goes for $150 for the week, in 1 year there are now less showers, less portable toilets, and more people. I am mad just remembering what went on

Mystery Hill is where nature and the law of gravity baffle us. This is located on US-12 across from Hayes State Park. You can see water run uphill at Mystery Hill!
BLACK FLAG from WAYNE "Go Bucks" G.: WE DROVE UP AND LEFT IN THE SAME DAY AND IT WAS TERRIBLE. ALSO THE PARKING LOT / FIELD ACROSS FROM THE TRACK, GIVE YOURSELF AT LEAST 2-3 HOURS OF WAITING TIME TO LEAVE. WE GOT THERE EARLY AND WERE IN THE FIRST ROW OF CARS. FIRST ONES THERE LAST ONES OUT!
MY ADVICE TO ANYONE. UNLESS YOU LIVE IN THE SAME CITY AS THE TRACK, DO NOT TRY AND GO AND COME HOME IN THE SAME DAY.
