Hello Race Fans. As many of you know, Bubbate & Both Bubbas have been to many tracks that run NASCAR races. We decided to put out a report card. We hope this will help fans when they are deciding on what race track to visit. We are grading the tracks on what is important to us & the hundreds of fans we talked to at each track. We also have additional notes at the end of each track’s grading.
The grades are in the following order:
Jimmy, Frankie then Jo Ann with an average at the end.

Jimmy: Might try to enjoy it more if we try it again.
Frankie: Seems like a “yuppie track” to me. Most everything seems intended on getting the most (money) from the fans. Bathrooms were hard to find. Doesn’t seem to be a fan friendly place. People working at track don’t seem to know anything. They should at least school them on how to be friendly!
Jo Ann: Too bad that ISC got their money hungry hands on this great race track. The fans I met lining Richmond-Henrico Turnpike were the best; good old Bubbas & Bubbate’s from the ole days. The racetrack it’s self is the kind I love that produces real racin’.
Unfortunately, the cons are too many:
-Property has lots of dirt roads with campers & no signs to show where you were. I even had my own map and no worker could tell me simply the name of the grandstand they were put in front of to be helpful.
-Speedway gouges the fans at every opportunity. In order to purchase the ticket I had to pay for a hospitality that didn’t come with what it suppose to. No one who worked there knew anything except how to say “It’s around the corner”.
-It’s owned by ISC. Richmond unfortunately will fall by the wayside in Laidback Racing’s Realignment 2004.
This track has not been up graded too much by the owners. Bathrooms (when I finally found one AFTER the end of the race) were in worse shape than Summerville Speedway & this bathroom was on the front stretch by the elevator going to the suites! (The restrooms on the fairgrounds property OUTSIDE the track were great.) Little upgrade on anything but seating and that wasn’t so great.
Interesting side note: The rows only went as high as row 34. Makes you wonder.
